Hi, I’m Amanda St. Laurent -

the calm behind your business chaos.

After more than a decade optimizing client experiences, building scalable processes, and training hundreds of thousands of employees across financial services and corporate America, I started to see the same pattern at every level, in every organization:

The most ambitious teams aren't held back by a lack of talent or vision. They're held back by systems and ways of working that haven't kept up with where they're trying to go.

I've seen it in large enterprises, in global program rollouts across wealth management and commercial banking, and in the organizations I partner with today. A strong brand on the outside. Real friction on the inside: duplicated effort, unclear ownership, decisions that move too slowly, and talented people burning out trying to compensate for broken processes.

That's not a people problem. It's a systems problem. And it's exactly the kind of problem I built Sonder North Co. to solve.

I started this firm from a simple belief: that growth should feel like momentum, not chaos, and that the best organizations are built with intention, not held together by heroics.

The Meaning Behind Sonder North Co.

Sonder is the realization that every person you pass has a life as vivid and complex as your own — filled with ambitions, worries, dreams, and unseen depths.

It's a reminder that your story matters. That the business you're building matters. That the impact you're making on this world matters.

Because the organizations worth working with aren't just building revenue. They're building something that matters. And the leaders behind them deserve a partner who understands that distinction. Someone who sees the full picture of what you're creating, and helps you navigate toward it with clarity, strategy, and heart.

North is the direction you're headed when you know where you're going. It's the steady point on the compass that guides you through uncertainty, growth, and change.

I'm here to be that north for you: a trusted guide who sees the fullness of what you're building and helps you navigate toward it with clarity, strategy, and heart.

THE WORK

Twelve years of doing the work that matters.

I didn't come up through consulting. I came up through the work itself. Twelve years at Bank of America/Merrill, starting in a client-facing role where I supported ultra-high-net-worth clients with financial planning. What I found myself gravitating toward wasn't the numbers. It was the experience. How do we make this simpler? How do we make this feel effortless for the client? How do we build something our team can actually execute on consistently?

The instinct to find the root cause, strip away the noise, and build something that actually works became the through-line of everything I did next.

I moved into a strategic design role and spent years building and launching programs on a global scale across wealth management and commercial banking. Large-scale rollouts. Cross-functional teams. High-stakes initiatives. I learned how to translate what leadership wanted into what teams could actually deliver, and how to close the gap between the two when things weren't lining up.

Along the way, I chaired a women's employee network and discovered something I hadn't expected: a deep passion for helping others get ahead. For clearing the path. For making the journey easier for the person coming up behind you.

All of that: the client service, the operations work, the program leadership, the people investment, is what Sonder North Co. is built on.

“I didn't want to build things that looked good in a slide deck. I wanted to build things that actually changed how people worked.”

HOW I WORK

The values that guide everything.

These aren’t words on a wall. They’re the commitments I bring to every client, every engagement, every conversation.

01
Curiosity

ASK BEFORE ASSUMING

The best work comes from genuine curiosity: about your business, your people, your challenges. We never show up with all the answers. We show up ready to learn, stretch, and think differently.

02
Partnership

IN IT TOGETHER

We don't diagnose from a distance. We get in the work alongside you. Your goals become our goals, your people become our people, and your success is the only measure we care about.

03
Intention

NOTHING BY ACCIDENT

How work gets done matters. We bring care and craft to every system, process, and deliverable. Because things designed with intention feel different. And things that feel right get used.

04
Excellence

OUR FLOOR, NOT OUR CEILING

We hold ourselves to a bar our clients can feel. Not because we're perfectionists. Because we know the difference between work that lasts and work that just looks good on delivery day.

BEYOND THE WORK

Rooted in Tahoe.
Driven by what matters.

When I step away from work, you'll find me in the mountains. Hiking with my family on warm, sunny days. Snowboarding or snowshoeing when the snow comes in. Taking beach walks along the lake after work and soaking in the kind of community that Lake Tahoe quietly builds around you.

My husband, our son, and I are intentional about how we live here. We're teaching our boy to be a steward of this place, to respect the land, the plants, the animals. To understand that where you live is something you take care of, not just something you enjoy.

That same instinct to care for things, to leave them better than you found them, is what I bring into my work. It's why I don't take on more than I can do well. It's why the relationships I build with clients are real ones. And it's why I chose to build a business that reflects the life I actually want to live: spacious, meaningful, and deeply intentional.

This is the work I was made for. And I bring that same conviction to every client I partner with.

It’s time for operations that match your growth.
